Student FAQs – Our Instructors

The instructors on the Online Music Institute are carefully picked from applicants who were referred or recommended. An instructor on the Online Music Institute must have a degree in music (performance or education) or many years experience in teaching music. You can read the biographies and educational background of each instructor on their profile page. If you have any questions, you can contact the instructor (you must be a registered member).

Finding an Instructor

In addition to all of the other benefits of registering, you will be able to contact our instructors.

We have carefully chosen the instructors on Online Music Institute.

Here’s what you should look at:

  • Teaching experience in your level of study.
  • From what school they received their education.
  • Level of education.

Like us here at Online Music Institute, you may have received a reference from a friend or colleague, or just know the instructor from your past.

It’s up to you how much weight to put any criteria.

Once you decide on an instructor, you will need to contact him or her. We leave it up to the individual instructor to set their own rates. Some allow a free initial meeting at varying lengths. Some charge a small fee for this, others do not. Some are not taking on students at all.

Contact us here if you know of a qualified instructor who you would like to see at Online Music Institute.
